POWDER SPRINGS, GA - This weekend, friends and family members are saying goodbye to 17 year old Jordan Davis, who was killed at Jacksonville gas station in what police say started with a complaint over loud music.

Hundreds of people attended a funeral for the teenager in Powder Springs on Saturday afternoon.
It was an emotional service, with Davis' mother, Lucia McBath, leaning on those around her as she said farewell to her son.

Among the mourners at Trinity Chapel was Samantha Williams, who was one of Davis' classmates at Wolfson High School in Jacksonville.

"The last time I spoke to him was Thursday night on Thanksgiving, and it's just so hard because I miss him so much," said Williams.

For many of the Davis' friends and relatives, questions still remain about how his life came to an end. However, they are taking comfort in what they agree was a beautiful sendoff for the teen.

The man charged with shooting Davis says he approached the SUV the teen was sitting in to complain about the music. He told officers he felt threatened and thought someone in the car had a gun, but police did not find a weapon in the SUV.
