Toddler missing from MARTA station located

ATLANTA -- Police have located a child and his caretaker who have been missing for more than a week. 

According to police, the mother of the missing child handed the child off to 26-year-old Sylvia Franklin at the Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA station for a week on November 26 around 7 p.m. 

The child, Malachi Devon Burley, is described as about 2 feet tall and around 30 pounds. And Franklin is described as about 5 ft. tall, 230 pounds and dark complected. 

According to the mother, Franklin was last seen wearing black pajama pants, a purple and white shirt and a black jacket. 

The child and Franklin are safe. Atlanta Police say charges against the child's mother, LaQuanda Burley or Sylvia Franklin.
