ATLANTA - With the flu now widespread in Georgia, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is taking extra steps to keep its patients safe. Right now, no one under 12 is allowed in the Intensive Care Unit, and anyone who's coughing or sneezing must be screened first before they can visit patients.
Since the flu season began, more than 330 people have been hospitalized in Georgia and at least one person has died after becoming ill. Doctors say the best way to avoid getting sick is to receive a vaccine.
