ATLANTA, Ga. -- Atlanta Police are working to obtain arrest warrants after they discovered a marijuana grow house in southwest Atlanta on Sunday.
Police located the house on 3200 block of Telford Terrace while they were responding to an unrelated call.
According to a report, officers smelled marijuana coming from the house and they approached the area with a K-9 officer.
The K-9 officer verified the smell of marijuana and officers obtained a search warrant for the house on Monday afternoon. Upon searching the house, authorities discovered about 250 marijuana plants inside.
Reports say plants were organized according to size in all four rooms of the house. Authorities observed an irrigation system that had been set up to water the plants.
Police estimate the marijuana to be valued at about $500,000.
No arrests have been made at this time.
