Flooding in Hall County

HALL COUNTY, Ga. -- C. Rogers Road, in northern Hall County was washed out by localized flooding due to heavy rains, isolating approximately 100 families around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Hall County public safety agencies, including the Sheriff's Office, went to work immediately assisting those who were cut-off due to the road closure.

The Sheriff's Office dive boat is being utilized to ferry residents from Clark's Bridge Park to a private boat dock at the end of C Rogers Road.

According to Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks, in all about a half mile of road is closed with a 15-foot wide section that is washed out.

There are no reports of injuries or damage to property.
