ATLANTA -- Atlanta Fire crews are on the scene of a possible HAZMAT situation at the Richard B. Russell Federal Building in Downtown Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Fire, a package containing a white powdery substance was found several hours ago and HAZMAT crews are testing the substance to determine it's contents.
Four people have been transported to Grady Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
FBI special agent Stephen Emmett says investigators believe the suspicious letter received at the Richard Russell building Friday evening is related to two similar letter received at the Herald Gazette newspaper in Barnesville Thursday and earlier Friday.
The FBI says in all three cases it was a suspicious powder with associated threatening letter that was received.
No other details were provided.
