POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. -- The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Timothy Chambley in Powder Springs Saturday night.
The task force was contacted and asked to assist in locating Chambley, who was wanted by the Meriwether County Sheriff's office for a triple shooting that occurred on Saturday evening.
Within four hours of being asked to assist, the task force was able to safely locate and arrest Chambley shortly after midnight on Sunday morning.
Upon arrival at the scene of the shooting, the responding units discovered three victims had been shot at 622 Williamson Circle in Woodbury, Ga.
One of the victims, an elderly female, was discovered deceased as a result of her injuries. The two other victims at the scene, a white female and a white male, were discovered to be in critical condition.
The victims were transported to the Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus for treatment. Both were later transferred to another trauma hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
The investigation into this matter revealed that a juvenile, six years in age, had been abducted from the scene. The deceased female's vehicle was also stolen.
The juvenile was later released unharmed by the suspect at a residence in Pine Mountain Valley, Harris County, Ga.
