Music Midtown returns to Piedmont Park

ATLANTA -- One of Atlanta's biggest and most popular music festivals will return to Piedmont Park this weekend.

Music Midtown 2013 will feature several big name performers, including Journey, Phoenix, Imagine Dragons, Weezer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

It will be held Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21. The gates open at 4 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday.

Parking is extremely limited, so festival attendees are encouraged to walk, bike or take MARTA to the park. Bicycle parking will be available on 10th Street near the Grady High School stadium.

Attendees are allowed to bring one factory-sealed bottle of water or empty reusable bottle, a small backpack or purse, and a towel or blanket. No chairs, alcohol, pets (except service dogs), weapons or coolers are permitted.

Tickets to the festival are $50 for Friday, $85 for Saturday or $110 for both days. VIP packages are $250 per day or $500 for both days, and include access to a private entrance, air conditioned restrooms and a hospitality area with free food.

Music Midtown also offers a $1,000 two-day Super VIP package, which has all the features of the VIP packages plus valet parking, access to a premium viewing area, a T-shirt and a souvenir laminate.
