11Alive Meteorologist Chris Holcomb says Karen continued to experience some shear. That pretty much tore the storm apart. The center of the storm will make an initial landfall on the southern coast of Louisiana overnight Saturday into Sunday. It would then move northeast over water again. The latest track has it moving parallel to the coastline before making another landfall near Apalachicola.
We will get some rain in the metro area, but that is mainly from a cold front moving in. Our rain will arrive late Sunday and linger through most of Monday.
