CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- The two people arrested in the death of 15-year-old Travon Crump have been denied bond.  Crump's body was found in the woods behind his neighborhood earlier this week.

Clayton County police said 17-year-old Tajh Daeon Hare and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Contessa Viniesha Neal confessed to the crime.

Crump's body was found Tuesday evening at an old golf course behind a neighborhood on Inverness Trace.  The suspects told police they believed the victim was planning to burglarize a house belonging to their friend. Because of this, the suspects said they decided to kill Crump.

Investigators said the suspects lured Crump to the golf cart path. Neal tried to shoot the victim, but got nervous and dropped the gun. Hare then picked up the gun and shot the victim in the head.

Both suspects have been charged with murder, aggravated assault and firearm possession.

Crump was a student at Mundy's Mill Middle School.

"A lot of people are very sad about what happened," said one student, Merah Nichols, Thursday night, "and it's a very emotional thing going on here, because he was a part of Mundy's Mill Middle, so he was in our family."

"It was a tragic situation," said another student, Tyrik Wynn. "He was in my social studies class, he used to laugh and everything ... I just want his memory to stay alive, and I just want him to rest in peace."
