ATLANTA -- Atlanta police are searching for a group of armed robbers who targeted a convenience store in southwest Atlanta.
Just before 10pm on November 30th, a group of five to seven men rushed into the Welcome Food Mart on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. The first man, dressed in an orange jumpsuit and mask, pointed a rifle at the cashier and demanded money, but was unable to reach the clerk through the plexiglass. Several other men ran inside and began grabbing bags of popcorn and chips from the shelves.

The gunman hit the rifle against the glass several times before running out. The store owner told 11Alive's Blayne Alexander there were five to seven men involved.
More than two weeks later, store owner Shafique Akhtar was back at work behind the counter. He acknowledged the store is in a dangerous area - he closes his store every night by 10:30 for that very reason - but says he's never been the victim of an armed robbery.
"I just lie down on the floor and hide myself," Akhtar said, describing the incident. "He tried to ask me, 'get up! Give me the money!' I was keeping quiet and finally, in a minute, he [was] gone."
Atlanta police need help identifying the men in the video. If you recognize them, call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
