ATLANTA -- A juvenile suspect has been arrested Saturday morning for his involvement in the Kirkwood shooting that took place Thursday evening.
The suspect is a juvenile and therefore his name and information will not be released. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
The juvenile has been charged with one count of murder and one count of armed robbery.
Two men were shot while walking through Atlanta's Kirkwood neighborhood Thursday evening.
Friday morning, Atlanta police confirmed that one of the victims died of his injuries. He was 21 year old Xavier Arnold.
The shooting happened at around 5:40 p.m. Thursday on Rogers Street NE.
Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said two men and a woman were walking down the street when they were approached by two suspects. The suspects got into a fight with the two male victims before shooting them. The woman was not hurt.
One of the victims was shot in the leg, while Arnold was hit in the head. Jones said Arnold died overnight at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Jones said the two suspects ran after the shooting and are still at large.
There is a $5,000 reward for anyone that can help capture the suspects.
