Freezing cold expected overnight: Latest school closings and delays

ATLANTA -- Much colder air will spread across the region today with increasing northwest winds. 

Chattooga, Habersham, Murray and White County schools are on a 2 hour delay Friday. In addition, Living Sciences Homes Studies will be closed Friday.

As temperatures drop into the teens and 20s this evening across north Georgia... wind chills will drop to dangerous levels in some areas. 

GALLERY | Another freezing cold snap in Atlanta 

Wind chills ranging from zero to 10 below zero can be expected over much of north Georgia where a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from 9 PM this evening until 10 AM Friday morning. 

Other areas look to see single digits to teens farther south. 

Make sure you limit skin exposure as frost bite and hypothermia are greater risks.  Dress in layers, wear a hat and mittens if you must step outside and also remember to provide shelter for pets.
