Police investigate a double shooting in Ellenwood on Wed., March 5, 2014
ELLENWOOD, Ga. -- A man was shot to death and a woman was shot and wounded inside a home in the 3200 block of Rockmill Drive in Ellenwood Wednesday night.
According to DeKalb County Police Sgt. Rod Bryant, someone from inside the house called 911 at about 8:00 p.m., saying there had been a shooting.
When police arrived, Sgt. Bryant said, the man who was shot was already dead. The woman who was shot was taken Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta. Her condition was not immediately known.
Sgt. Bryant said there were three children in the home who witnessed the shooting. All three are okay. He said the incident was "isolated to inside the home," but he said he would not be able to disclose any details about the incident until, perhaps, Thursday. He said detectives do not believe anyone else was involved.
