McDONOUGH, Ga. -- A major wreck on I-75 North in Henry County resulted in one fatality and had all lanes blocked for more than an hour Thursday afternoon.
Victoria Goldware, 14, of McDonough, was killed after being ejected from the vehicle after it struck the center guardrail and began to spin back into traffic.
Goldware was pronounced dead at the scene.
Of the seven passengers involved in the accident, five were ejected from the vehicle. Preliminary investigation reveals the victims were not properly restrained.
A four-year-old who was ejected is being treated for multiple fractures at Elgeston, as are two-month-old twins, who are being treated for severe head injuries.
A 16-year-old female passenger that was ejected is being treated at Grady with serious injuries.
A 30-year-old female passenger was ejected and is being treated at Atlanta Medial with non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle did strike another vehicle however the opponents were not injured.
The 19-year-old female driver was not injured in the accident.
The driver's identity has not been released.
It is believed that speed and weather played factors in the crash, however the accident is still under investigation.
