Man in critical condition after shooting in NW Atlanta

ATLANTA --- One man was hospitalized after a shooting in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday evening. 

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. 

According to Atlanta Police, the shooting happened near Proctor Street and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard in northwest Atlanta. 

The victim, who looks to be between 20 and 30-years-old, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. 

No further information was immediately released.
