Choestoe area (Union Co., Blairsville) - Jimmy
ATLANTA -- Parts of the metro and lots of north Georgia saw snow Friday morning.
Temperatures dipped into the teens with wind chills feeling as low as -5.
Drivers had to watch out for black ice on their morning commute and hundreds were without power as trees fell from strong winds.

A few more clouds will move in Saturday with slightly warmer air. Highs Saturday afternoon will top off at 47. More clouds will increase Sunday. We will be watching a line of rain that moves in ahead of the next blast of cold air. Rain will arrive late Sunday afternoon into the evening. As the rain pushes to the east and the cold air moves in from the west, we will have some snow on the backside of that band of rain late Sunday. We have the chance for some accumulating snow in north Georgia. Maybe even some accumulations in parts of the metro area, too. We will continue to fine tune the potential for snow depending on the timing of the moisture and clash of cold air.
The second blast of cold air moves in Sunday night into Monday. We won't make it above freezing Monday afternoon. By Tuesday morning, temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees. That's the coldest air since 2003 here in Atlanta. Tuesday's highs will hold in the 20s. We will finally get above freezing Thursday afternoon.
