Dominos employees deliver thieves to deputies

There was nothing routine about the robbery of Dominos Pizza in Conyers New Year's Day -- much to the chagrin of the two would-be robbers.

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office says Jacquille Chisolm and Keyanah Smith claimed to have a gun and demanded cash at the Dominos on Highway 20 in Conyers.

But investigators say the robbery went awry after a Dominos employee followed the pair into the parking lot, attempted to box in their car and even banged on their windows.

Sheriff deputies say the alleged robbers managed to speed off. But the store employee chased them -- right into a police checkpoint.

Chisolm and Smith were booked with armed robbery and theft. If convicted, they could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
