LITHONIA, Ga. -- Melba Williams heard a baby screaming in the backseat of a grey 2010 Dodge Caravan and she knew that she had located a missing 2-year-old girl who has been kidnapped in an apparent car theft.

"I could hear the baby screaming and I said "Mama's coming"", Williams told 11Alive.

Williams spotted the van in the Lithonia High School parking lot about three hours after the vehicle disappeared from New Birth's Family Life Center.

DeKalb Police said Myrai Robinson was inside a car that was stolen from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said the girl's caregiver left her inside the van while she went inside New Birth's family life center to work out.

The caregiver, Rhonda Rivers, was arrested and charged with felony cruelty to children and misdemeanor reckless conduct.

A Levi's Call was issued following Robinson's disappearance as she was believed to be in extreme danger, according to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.

Billboards on highways across the state alerted fellow drivers about the missing girl.
